Islamabad Federal College

Islamabad Federal College was founded in 2002 in F-10 Markaz Islamabad as an educational institution providing basic up to graduate level of education under Yasir Educational Society (Registered under the Societies Registration act on March 16, 2002). The institution got affiliated with Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology Peshawar on January 21, 2003. In 2008, it was decided to shift the school and intermediate college to self owned campus located in PIA Colony, Misriyal Road, Rawalpindi under the Name Islamabad Federal School/College. The College recently relocated to G-9/1 to expand the quality of its services to the community in a better and more effective manner.

The institution is operated under the direct supervision of the President Yasir Educational Society and the Managing Director, Mrs. Zarreen Ammar. The institution is currently affiliated Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad.

The college also has clinical affiliations with the following hospitals and clinics for the clinical training of its students:

    • St. Joseph Hospice, Rawalpindi.
    • Ibn e Sina Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Center (IPRC), G-10 Markaz, Islamabad.

Department of Public Health

Islamabad Federal College has a comprehensive Department of Public Health lead by Prof. Iqbal Ahmad Khan. The college’s MPH program was started in 2006, recognized by Higher Education Commission and was granted full recognition by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) in 2011. Department of Health Allied Sciences

The Department of Health Allied Sciences was developed in with the start of M.Sc (Clinical Psychology) and Post Magisterial Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PMD-CP) programs in 2006. The Doctor of Physiotherapy program was introduced in 2012. Following is a list of faculty in the Department of Health Allied Sciences (Doctor of Physiotherapy and M.Sc Psychology programs respectively).
